So I just found out that Flying Lotus, one of the leaders of the West Coast, new-school beats scene that I love so much, is going to be in Ann Arbor on March 26th. Now, Ann Arbor doesn't have a very strong electronic scene, so I went loco when I found out that one of my musical icons is going to perform here. He's coming for the 48th Ann Arbor Film Festival, where's he'll be performing a live score of Harry Smith's 1957 film Heaven and Earth Magic, and then he'll be playing what looks to be a killer afterparty at the Blind Pig with Mahjongg and Dr. Strangeloop. This kind of opportunity doesn't come around often, so if you're in or around Ann Arbor don't miss out!
